There are several ways visitors can enjoy our club:

Reciprocal yacht club members

As a member of one of our 25 reciprocal yacht clubs you can register to come to most of our club events, our clubs food and beverage facilities and obtain visitors moorage.

1. See if you are a member at one of our reciprocal yacht clubs
2. For a visit our facilities or attend a club event please give VYC 3 days notice and fill in the: reciprocal visitor request form
3. To book a visitor’s slip in our marina please give VYC 3 days notice and book here: reciprocal moorage request form

Guests of members

Guest of members are welcome to the Vernon Yacht Club’s facilities, events and VYC Marina when accompanied by a VYC member.

Visitors to our public events

We have a free annual Boat and Leisure Show each year and the public is invited to the entire facilities. The Boat and Leisure Show has many booths in the parking lot and on the grounds, the marina is full of local boat vendors and the yacht club serves lunch and beverages. There are many family fun activities and businesses bring their best boating and watersports gear to the event. More here: Boat and Leisure Show

Participants at our courses or sailing races

The Power Squadron offers all aspects of boating and navigational courses at the Vernon Yacht Club. These are open for the public to register for and attend. More here: CPS Canadian Power and Sail Squadron

The Sailing Fleet offers a Learn to Sail Course, a Women’s racing series on Tuesdays, May to July, and a Coed racing series on Wednesdays, April to October. The public is welcome to attend the courses and participate on a member’s boat in the racing activities. Please see more under the Sailing Fleet Page
